This weekend PGL hosted a $100,000 PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds tournament with 16 participating teams, which took place at their studio in Bucharest, Romania.
Out of 16 participating teams 11 received direct invites from the organizers, including Vitality, Team Kinguin, Team SoloMid, Tainted Minds, Ghost Gaming, LGD Gaming, Sunsister, MVP, OGN Entus Ace, Snake Esports and OMG. Two teams made it through the regional qualifiers in North America – eUnited and Spacestation Gaming, another two teams qualified from the European region – FaZe Clan and Grubie, and yet another team advanced from the South American Qualifier – Team Secret.
In total the teams have played 16 rounds with first-person view, with both placements and kills affecting their points. The first place was secured by Ghost Gaming, which consists of two players from North America and two from Denmark, with 6155 points. They were followed by the Russian squad Grubie with 6140 points and the European mix eUnited with 5735 points.
